Anita Sarkeesian was born in Canada but grew up in the U.S. She's been media critic since. Feminist Frequency is an educational site for non-profit organizations that explores the representations of females in popular culture narratives. In addition, she works to expose the issues surrounding the targeted and sexist attack on women and as well as other minorities, she is determined to break down the stigmas and stereotypes in the popular culture. Holding a master's degree in political and social thought at York University Sarkeesian is also a much sought-after public speaker and she has delivered speeches at TEDxWomen XOXO Festival as well as at the United Nations' Broadband Working Group on Gender. Feminist Frequency was created on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian, university student who has been interested in issues that concern gender and feminism for quite a long time. She had a plan to start an internet-based series on gender representation in games, and was then the victim of an online campaign to harass her. But the harassment did not discourage her. She was only able to strengthen her position as a journalist who is feminist. Numerous awards have been given to her for all of the contribution she has contributed to. Anita Sarkeesian has been a journalist for a long time and is the founder of Feminist Frequency. The non-profit educational organization studies women's roles in pop culture narratives.
