Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he is known in the pop world is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the group One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994, and is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, together with his fellow classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. The band won in 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to pursue a career as a lawyer, physiotherapist or even a scout. To support the needs of his children, he took a short time working part-time at a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. For that reason his band had to separate. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge that suggested Harry Styles to be part of a new group named One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group, which began in the year 2010. The group sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This made them one of the frontrunners to win the contest. The group was however placed third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid two million pounds as part of a deal for One Direction.
